Description
What life exists in the city of the dead? Mainly the memories of those that left us and the ones that take care of it to keep it present. In the works that are their final address, many times with remarkable architectural and artistic quality, are many of the stories of the city of the living: the wealth and opulence of some of their inhabitants perpetuated in the family tombs, neo gothic and modern, as well as the interrupted construction of a monumental church that would serve as connection to S. Vítor Street. We invite you to visit, at night, the first public cemetery of Porto, founded in 1839, and find out a place where the city’s memories are kept.
