Description
The origin of this real estate goes back to the nineteen century (1844). Its construction was ordered by a rich merchant, and right away it was the stage of opulent parties and, generally, a way of showing off the economic power of its owner. The owners that followed continued and reinforced its vocation – to serve the arts. In its current state, and in possession of the Municipality, it has become an example of support given by civil society and several patrons around the enthusiasm of a theatre company and an arts school that are housed here. The architects’ work was also part of this movement, giving the building excellent technical conditions, respecting it and highlighting its original qualities.
