Description
It is always worth it to go back to this building with its rare shape: a church and a cloister, side by side, both with a circular plan and identical dimensions. One full, one empty, one closed, one open, they are the demonstration that the laborious act of projecting in architecture can be taken in an almost ludic way. Le Corbusier would say, “architecture is a wise, correct and magnificent game under the light”. For architects it would be enough to know this work through drawing, but nothing substitutes a walk through its spaces and observing the subtleties of the variations of sunlight throughout the day.
