Description
Only the façade and granite lateral gables remain, of the housing building that existed here near Calçada da Serra and leaning against a scarp. Within these limits, and in order to make 6 touristic apartments, an exposed concrete structure was inserted. In the middle of the group, divided in two halves, an inhabited wall solves the demands of this new use: with the bathrooms and the kitchens of each unit, and an elevator. The view over Porto’s ribeira that you have from the rooms is extraordinary, but from the side of the patio the intervention highlighted the scarp, exposed, that functions as a mineral scenario for the apartments that open their big windows to it.
